Scandinavian Service is proud to be a family owned and operated company.

Since 1991 we have practiced honesty and integrity in our work and our relationships with our customers. We believe that our customer relationships are our number one priority. As a result, our customer base has been built up by ‘word of mouth’, since over 85% of them are by referrals.

Specialization, honesty and integrity.

Despite our industry’s tendency toward generalization or exaggeration of skills and abilities in advertising – including occasional out-right misrepresentation – we have maintained strict integrity in representing our particular areas of expertise. We continue to invest in the specific tools – and particularly the most current factory diagnostics software – to provide factory-level service for Swedish and German cars. The investment is costly, and the generalist mechanic simply cannot afford to maintain factory-level current technology for all vehicles. We are able to make this investment by having clear focus on our service offering and choose to make that investment so that these exceptionally engineered Swedish and German automobiles will receive the proper care each model deserves. Perhaps it goes without saying, but no technician can ever become a specialist in all cars; claims as such should raise a red flag for you the consumer seeking a service technician. That’s why we’re clear in our business practices and advertising about specializing in Swedish and German cars. Most importantly to you… our technology reveals vehicle issues allowing us to begin resolving those issues quickly, where with the generalist mechanic you may incur unnecessary labor charges for extended diagnostics or they only perform the easiest things to be repair or basic maintenance on your vehicle, without following specific manufacturers procedures.

Scandinavian Service, Inc. was started by Gert Lindner back in August of 1991, having worked for repair facilities who refuse to do a straight forward business with the customer, and many times cheated the customer for the sake of making more money. Gert couldn’t take any more of the dishonest ways of these repair facilities, and decided to start his own company. He started a repair shop on Agate Court in Simi Valley, then moved to Chambers Lane in October of 1991, then in 1996 the company was incorporated. After being on Chambers Lane for over a decade, the company has moved to the present location at 2001 Donville Avenue, Simi Valley which is only one mile from the old location. The new location is much closer to restaurants, movie theaters and fast foods, hopefully, it will make auto repair more convenient for our customers, The new building has a much better waiting area for the customers.

Our shop tries to perform the best service, repair and troubleshooting to the best of our ability with the latest technological equipment. We always try to keep the shop clean in appearance, and keep our customer service at the highest level possible. We have many regular customers, and most of our new customers are referrals from our regular customers. The loyalty of some of our customers actually exceeds the life of the shop, and is GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Come visit and check us out! We look forward to getting to know you, and counting you among our many friends in Simi Valley, the Conejo Valley, the San Fernando Valley and surrounding areas.
